The amazement when cutting minerals

We started from this raw rock of moss agate.
A dark green stone with white patches, nothing extraordinary at first glance.

To start we just cut it through as you can see below.

And from that smaller part we cut off a thin slice.
Now have a look at this most amazing pattern of green veins, resembling moss.
Hence the name of this mineral, moss agate 😉
